About the Owner
Jane Guadagno is a highly experienced private tutor for both elementary and intermediate grades with a specialty in mathematics through pre-calculus. She graduated from Wheaton College, in Norton, Massachusetts, with a major in Mathematics and minor in Elementary Education.
Mrs. Guadagno has over 20 years of teaching experience in the private and public sector. She began her career in education as a substitute teacher, while her children were young, and has held a variety of long-term positions in computers and mathematics. In 2005, she accepted full-time teaching positions and has successfully taught Kindergarten, third grade, fifth grade, and fifth through eight grade Mathematics as well as Algebra 1. She has coached competitive math teams, that include the Math Olympiad and Math League, where her students have qualified for both State and National competitions. She also serves, with distinction, as a member of NCTM, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
Mrs. Guadagno has successfully tutored hundreds of students. She has developed a unique repertoire of teaching strategies to support, remediate, and challenge each student she tutors in a supportive learning environment.
